Today xiao jiu mu called mi in e morn fr msia. N asked mi abt my full name n msia ic no. Cos she said e army list already out den she hlped mi check if I gt kana army nt. N it ENDED UP… that a gal kana n her name is almoz e same as mi leh, she’s called Lau Chiew “HUN”, whereas my name is Lau Chiew “HOON” mah. Scared mi sia, e pronunciation e same oso. Its was lk when xiao jiu mu called mi agn to ask for my DOB den cnf not mi la, haha… when I knw, u duno hw relieved I was!! >.< Heng sia… cos Shuet Yet biao jie kana army few yrs ago, but Wen hui biao jie last yr dint kana. So of cos I hope I won’t kana la. hu hope to kana..? even gt gals wan escape NS den duno migrate to other country to study n cancel the citizenship for msia. But duno y hor, sg PR considered half sporean half msian leh, lk tt both sides will nida gt to gt army for guys. I mean if msia there kana army for guys, den sg here oso compulsory nid serve NS, duno how they gg to cope..?

PR means permanent residents, not citizens leh, duno y oso compulsory nid serve NS, cos permanent residents oso mean tt u r still a citizen fr ur place of birth (as for mi, is msia mah). Then guys regardless whether they r PRs or sporeans, they MUST serve NS, den those PRs serve le NS, its lk they will “auto” change to Singapore citizenship. Its kinda lk “stealing” ppl to enlarge population lor. Cos if u still die die don1 change to sg citizenship, n I fil tt its nt worth it to go NS lor. Wad for 卖命 serve a country u don considered to be ur hm country..? so I feel tt since PRs oso lk Sporeans, have to serve NS, means tt they “shld” be treated “equally”, but PRs don even hab most of the privileges tt sporeans have. For instance, edusave a/cs for sporean students. Its wad we PRs, don have. In sch, when we have certain course, e workshop course can be so ex as 100 bucks, but we have to pay using cash or cheque cos we r not entitled to an edusave a/c. whereas, sporeans juz nid to ask their parent to sign e withdrawal form. So simple, so 省钱. As for my sec sch, students can use edusave a/c to deduct their payments for the trips to other countries. So OWAYS sporean students r seen to go for such trips in sch bcos they have e privilege of using the edusave a/c, e money does nt have to come fr their own pocket, neither fr their parents’. Maybe this is 1 of the ways to “ENCOURAGE” PRs to bcum citizens of sg. But those who r not 忘恩负义de will not forgo their (original country) original citizenship for another country’s citizenship bah…不管怎样,家乡is still the BEST!!!

Maybe gg back for msia army surely tough one, summo e camp at those wulu wulu de forest or jungle de leh… den I dun wan training leh… I juz don understand y msia gt law say gals muz enter army oso de leh. I have heard fr biao jie tt a lot of ppl, I tink gt both gals n guys la, they died in army. Duno whether is kana tortured till die or wad la, but SY biao jie said dang bing not tough leh, still can bring mp3, go shopping once in awhile. But I tink oso have to c where de camp kana until la den can gif opinions lor. Surely is diff camp diff form of training cos got diff sergeants n commanders de mah. Even tho im quite curious to knw hw life in army is lk, but I rather remain curious than to have to go to experience it.
